PLAYER EVALUATIONS

All divisions of baseball and softball, except Tee Ball and 6U Softball, will conduct Player Evaluations.  The purpose of these Evaluations is to create a composite performance score for each player.  This score is then used to set up our Player Drafts.  By rating the players, we are better able to create teams with comparable skill levels and thus create competitive balance among the teams in each division.

Each of the Managers and Coaches is invited to participate in the evaluations.  Players are rated on four main areas: hitting, fielding, throwing and running.  The rating scale is 1 to 5.

The Player Evaluation schedules for Rookies, Minors, and Majors divisions in baseball and all softball divisions are listed below.

A couple of notes:

  • Players must be registered to take part in player evaluations.  Onsite registration will be available if there is space available in the requested Division.
  • All participants must attend and participate in ONE of the two scheduled evaluations for your division

EVALUATION DETAILS

The Evaluation Times listed are the start times.  You should plan on arriving at least 30 minutes ahead of that time to check-in at the boardroom (see map below).

At check-in, your child's registration will be confirmed and he/she will receive a wristband.  On that band will be their registration number, which tells them the order they will be evaluated.

If you are planning to participate in on-site registration, then you should plan additional time at the check-in to get your registration completed.

Please understand that we will do what we can to stay on schedule and because of that, we need you to be on time for check-in as well as your evaluation time.

What to bring?
Bring a glove.  If you have a bat and helmet, bring that too.  If not, we will have league helmets and we will share bats as needed.
